Some photos from this past weekend’s Vulkon convention!
Here are a few photos from the awesome Vulkon convention I was a guest at this past weekend in Orlando!
…with the always fun and very cool friend Jonathan Frakes…
…with the lovely and incredibly kind Nana Visitor…
…with my good buddy Erick Avari…
…with Gwynyth Walsh and Barbara March (the Duras Sisters: ST:TNG) … they’re not nearly as dangerous at cocktail parties! (but still as gorgeous!) (Mike, this one’s for you, haha)
…with my good buddies Cirroc Lofton and Aron Eisenberg. These two are a hoot, but when their powers are combined, the fun is just freaking non-stop!
…with my dear friends Gary and Terri Tripp, owners of Vulkon and promoters of the best damn conventions out there!!
…working my table doin’ what I love!
…with Bill, a very cool fan and recipient of a fun Klingon caricature!!
…with Sean, a very cool fan and recipient of his requested (and tricky, Sean!) Nausican caricature!
…and more to come! God, I love conventions!!

Hey David, looking at your convention pics has me wondering…How long does it take to do a sketch there? It seems like such great caricatures for such a quick drawing..You must work good under pressure and time constraints..

10-15 minutes, unless I start gabbing too much, then maybe longer! haha. Yeah, been at the caricatures for years. Tweaked my style to match my normal cartooning style. Sharpie on paper with color stix (Prismacolor colored pencil pigment lead with no wood) Never smears. I love doing them too, so that helps!! Thanks for the good words! Hm … maybe I should post some close-ups of ‘em for ya ‘ to see?

Yes David, I would very much like to see some close-ups..
