A closer look at Panel 2

March 8th, 2010

Sometimes a panel with small detail can get lost in the pixels (whereas it’s seen clearly in print), so I am posting a closer, enlarged look at panel 2… as yes, it was FUN to draw. (and see below for the pencil and ink stage) ;-) And as ever, I want to acknowledge Don’s excellent coloring work. The man has skillz, and I’m thankful to have him on team LoB! ;-)  (Don, like me, is a Dork Tower fanboy too!) And now you can see Larry the Seagull from Robot Beach better!

And someone needs to put up curtains on the ladies room window. Ah, those crazy medieval times!

You are channelling the great Sergio Aragones with all the little details! Love it, Man!

Yeah, man… that’s what I dig! Great detail, great feel for the place. Phin’s right, there’s a bit of Aragones here, which is a very, very good thing. Roll on, baby!

Cheers for this. There were several details that weren’t easily seen in the actual strip. I wonder which comics Bill reads. And you’ve included Oscar The Grouch too!!!

I swear, this one panel is poster quality. You sell it and I’ll buy it.
