Some artists just plain humble me. They inspire me to try and be better at what I do, and remind me of why I doodle in my sketchbook every day, practice constantly at my craft, and why I love this crazy biz we all love known as comics, animation, sci-fi, fantasy, ah, heck, just plain geeky-goodness. My good friend Izobel Carol is one of those people. She has created the most awesome piece of guest art “Izzy Style” of our Barbaric hero and (forthcoming) pink-haired princess (and lil’ Frank is in there too! ;-)) and it is my UBER-pleasure to share this with Legend of Bill readers!! Izzy is an amazing artist and animator, with a huge knowledge of anime, and has worked as a production artist and storyboard artist on none other than South Park, among other productions. Izzy also created the awesome banner art at SoulGeek.com (the gorgeous art for the mascots you see throughout the site), and has a guru column there as well (she’s the SoulGeek Artist!) My good friend Chuck Whelon has created a completely badass illustration of his characters Pewfell, Tina and Gnoma from his fantastic webcomic Pewfell mingling with Bill, Princess Gina and Frank!! Check out Gina and Tina fighting (neither of us know what they are fighting about, but as Chuck put it, “It’s how warrior girls get to know each other.”) And there’s Pewfell, enjoying the show, as Bill is in aw, as Chuck said “This is all new to him.” A BIG HONKIN’ thanks to Chuck for taking the time and effort to honor me with this drawing, and to allow Bill, Frank and Princess Gina into the realm of Spirekassle, and if you do nothing else today, go to Pewfell, his awesome “Epic Fantasy Sitcom!”

Okay, it’s official… I’m starting a “Fan Art” section!! Send ‘em in, my friends! I am loving this, and I will happily post them for all to see both on the blog and in the new section!!

My friends, the wonderful Legend of Bill fan art continues to come in, and I could not be happier. In fact, I’m so happy that I am deeming every Friday for the next month here at LOB.com as “Fan Art Fridays!” And so long as I continue to receive fan art, I will continue to run Fan Art Fridays!
