A page in my sketchbook featuring our heroes…

I keep getting questions in my e-mails asking when I’m going to hold a contest, sooo … I am THIS close to dreaming up a contest and giving this original pencil sketch away, but what kind of contest… hmm … any ideas?

I wanted to drop a note of special thanks to my very good friend Scott Kurtz for adding a Legend of Bill logo/link to the homepage of PVP (below).  My utmost thanks and appreciation to Scott for helping support LOB in such a generous way. And as a special bonus to LOB readers, enjoy the above PVP guest strip I did for Scott that appeared at PVP a few months ago. Again, a show of generosity from Scott to his friends and fans. And a fan, I AM! ;-) AND!! Good news, LOB fans! Legend of Bill will soon begin appearing in the PVP comic book as a backup feature in the next few months, so be sure to pick up your copy (and copies for your friends!) every month. Not only that, but Scott invited me to include a nifty PVP pinup which will appear in his forthcoming PVP 10th Anniversary book. Now, get your ass over to PVP and show the love, my friends, and tell Scott thanks, Legend of Bill-style!!

And in reference to my below post about the lovely green “Benny” from “Looking For Group,” this is an Orion Slave Girl for the uninitiated… this is a drawing I did that appeared full size in Star Trek Magazine several issues back.

This week, one of my fellow Tall Tale Features uber-buddies, Brock Heasley of none other than the freaking awesome webcomic “The SuperFogeys” has showered us with his rendition of Bill and Princess Gina, and MAN is it a rendition!! I love this drawing, and a BIG thanks to Brock for taking the time to draw this up. I particularly like how he kept the line at the pencil stage, and added the color. It has something that I really like… a something that to me is reminiscent of one of my favorite comic masters of comic books, Gene Colan. Thank you, Brock! Now, get over to Brock’s site and show ‘im the love, LOB-style!! You will NOT be disappointed if you have never read SuperFogeys. It’s one of the best and brightest out there on the webs.

I will be on a live chatcast tomorrow night at the brand-new “Comics ChatCast,” available via a live chat to answer questions from fans, and from what I am told by the fine folks there, I am the first guest on this all-new site. You may be noticing lots of additional non-LOB posts now… my other varied goings-on artistically, commercially, comics-wise, sketch-wise, and all in-between… Anyhoo, I was finding it redundant to maintain both my other sketchblog and my LOB sketchblog, when the core of my time and activity is spent here within the hollowed and Dragon Burger grease-soaked halls of LOB, so I just went ahead and moved my whole sketchblog operation here! So I hope you enjoy the many and varied blog posts here, as well as, of course, the comics! Now you can look forward to all sorts of sketchy art fun every day, many times 2-3 times a day (as you may have noticed I have an addiction and never sleep), and I also invite you to grab some buttons and banners out of the above DOWNLOADS section and place them on your site, send them to your friends sites, put ‘em in your forum signatures, and anywhere else you can think of, and help spread the word of Bill anyway you can! And in exchange, please let me know when you do, so that I might get your own links and buttons right here as well. Let’s grow LOB together! Thank you, friends of Bill!!
